V2: Attendance Portal - How young students can check themselves in using a tablet via QR code, name search, or PIN code

This article covers a common use case: a young student arriving at the studio and checking themselves into a scheduled class using a tablet via the V2 Attendance Portal.

 

 


 

Step 1: Select the correct class

  • Look at the class list on the left side of attendance portal screen.

  • Tap the correct class and time slot.

Step 2: Choose a check-in method

Students can select the most convenient method for them:

Name search

  • Tap "Name search check in."

  • Search by student name or scroll the list.

  • Tap "check in" next to your name.

QR code

  • Tap QR code check in.”

  • Scan student's QR code using the tablet camera.

Note: Students can find their QR code and PIN code in the member app, or it can be downloaded and printed by the studio inside.

PIN code

  • Tap "PIN code check in."

  • Enter your 4-digit PIN on the on-screen keypad.

  • Tap "confirm" to complete check-in.

Troubleshooting common issues

  • Payment Required: Enter card info or ask staff for assistance.
  • Class Full: Choose another session or ask staff to override.
  • PIN/QR Not Working: Use name search or ask staff to generate a new code.
  • Attendance Limits Reached: Staff can confirm or override.
  • Class in Past: Select a current/upcoming class or ask staff to manually log attendance.

Where can students find their QR code or PIN code?

  • QR code: Participant profile or member app.

  • PIN code: Participant profile or member app; can be regenerated if missing.

Note: For young students, you can use the print center section to print QR codes and PIN codes. This assists with placing them on student attendance cards or badges.

Can students use all check-in methods?

Studios can enable or disable QR, Name Search, or PIN for the attendance portal. Students will only see the methods allowed by the studio.

Yes! The portal supports self-service in kiosk mode.

Students are able to remove their check in by clicking the check in button again.
