Create an email template in V2
To create an email template in MyStudio V2:
- Login to MyStudio V2
- Go to communications
- Go to email campaigns
- Click templates
- Click “create new template” at the top right
- You will be redirected to the V2 template builder supported by Unlayer
The V2 template builder offers a much larger variety of customization options including headers, columns, buttons, multiple images, color wheels, etc, so that you can ensure your flyers and emails are specific to your branding.

The amount of templates you can make is dependant on your MyStudio plan

Adding placeholders in V2 templates
To add a placeholder in a V2 template:
- Login to MyStudio V2
- Go to communications
- Go to email campaigns
- Click templates
- Click “create new template” at the top right. You will be redirected to the V2 template builder supported by Unlayer.
- Add a title or text widget.
- Hover your mouse over the widget and click on “content.”
- Select the merge tags drop down.
- Select the appropriate placeholder.
Preview template for desktop and mobile views
While building your email template, you can switch between desktop and mobile views. Do this from the bottom right corner icons. You can also see these while you’re changing the content of a block! The left hand content column has the option for desktop and mobile at the top of the column.
How to save a V2 template
V2 templates will automatically save every time a change is made to the template. However, the template will also save when you select “save and exit” to exit the template builder.
How to edit the email template
To edit a V2 email template:
- Go to communications
- Go to emails
- Click the three dot action button for the template you’d like to edit
- Click “edit”
Viewing V2 templates in V1
To access the list of V2 templates in V1:
- Go to communications
- Go to emails
- Click “custom templates”
- Click the “advanced templates (V2)” tab
You are able to send V2 templates from V1 email communications.
How to send a V2 template via email in V1
To send a V2 template as an email:
- Login to V1
- Open the email composer from any area in the system
- Click on the template drop down
- Choose a V2 template
- Add a subject line to the email before sending
