Methods of Registration

Our system offers many ways to obtain registrations and purchases. This article offers the full list and the differences between them.

Permissions and accessibility

Point of sales

Staff POS


 

Access: operations > point of sale > click the rocket to launch.

 

The staff POS is used by your staff members to register customers and run purchases. You can use credit cards, checks, or cash payment methods through here. ACH can be used if the searched individual already has a bank on file.

 

Public POS


 

Access: operations > point of sale > click the rocket to launch.

 

The public point of sale is great to use for in-studio kiosks so that customers can register and purchase things themselves. You can use credit cards, checks, or cash payment methods through here. ACH cannot be used from the public POS; they system will redirect you to the member web app.

URLs

 

You can send URLs to customers via email or share them on your social media platforms to encourage specific registrations. The URLs for each offering are located in different places.

 

Programs


 

There are three types of URLs for programs:

  1. Main URL: accessed from services and products > programs > settings > general settings, the main URL will display all of your public, live programs. If any programs are private, those will not display in this list.
  2. Program URL: accessed from services and products > programs > live > click “URL” on the program listing. This is often utilized if the program is private, but can also be used for public programs. If any membership options are private, those will not display.
  3. Membership option URL: access from services and products > programs > live > edit the program the option is under > live options > click “URL” on the membership option listing. This is often utilized if the membership option is private, but can also be used for public membership options.

 

Turn off registration entirely from all registration points by turning the general setting to “off.”

 

Events


 

There are three types of URLs for events:

  1. Main URL: accessed from services and products > events > settings > general settings, the main URL will display all of your public, live events. If any events are private, those will not display in this list.
  2. Event URL: accessed from services and products > events > live > click “URL” on the event listing. This is often utilized if the event is private, but can also be used for public events. If any event date / options are private, those will not display.
  3. Event date / option URL: access from services and products > events > live > edit the event the option is under > live options > click “URL” on the event option listing. This is often utilized if the event date / option is private, but can also be used for public event date / options.

 

Turn off registration entirely from all registration points by turning the general setting to “off.”

 

Trials




There are two types of URLs for trials:

  1. Main URL: accessed from services and products > trials > settings > general settings, the main URL will display all of your live trials. 
  2. Trial URL: accessed from services and products > trials > live > click “URL” on the trial listing. 

 

Turn off registration entirely from all registration points by turning the general setting to “off.”

 

Retail


 

There are three types of URLs for retail:

  1. Main URL: accessed from services and products > retail > settings, the main URL will display all of your live retail items. 
  2. Retail category URL: accessed from services and products > retail > live > click “copy URL” on the retail category. 
  3. Retail item URL: access from services and products > retail > live > click “copy URL” on the retail item listing. You can also copy the item URL from items listed within categories.

 

Turn off registration entirely from all registration points by turning the general setting to “off.”

 

Classes


 

There are two types of URLs for classes and appointments:

  1. Main URL: accessed from services and products > classes & appointments > settings > general settings, the main URL will display all of your live classes. 
  2. Class URL: accessed from services and products > classes & appointments > live > click “copy URL” on the class listing. This will display all the appointment times.



Customers can only use credit cards for URL purchases. If they choose ACH, they will be redirected to the member app.

 

Turn off registration entirely from all registration points by turning the general setting > classes/appointments are live to “no.”

 


Member app

Access: Apple or Google app stores. The member web app can be sent to customers from sales > customer access.

 

The member app comes in two forms: a mobile app and the web app. Customers can register for or purchase all offerings directly from these locations. They can use credit card or ACH payment methods.

 


Business app

Access: Apple or Google app stores: MyStudio Business Management App.



The business app is the same as the MyStudio control panel but on an app. You can use this app to launch the POS from anywhere you are, meaning you’re able to complete sales on the go.

 


Plus buttons

Primary customer profile


Access: all customers > primary customers > click the primary customer’s name > plus button.

 

The plus button in the primary customer account allows you to pre-fill buyer and participant information by adding a registration or purchase directly from a profile. Choose what you are registering or purchasing and the participant registering for it, if applicable. You can also choose to add a new participant!

 

Once selected, this will redirect you to the staff point of sale to finish the transaction.

 

Participant profile


Access: all customers > all participants > click the participant’s name > plus button.

 

The plus button in the participant profile allows you to pre-fill buyer and participant information by adding a registration directly from the participant profile. This will be directly connected to the specific participant you clicked into.

 

Choose what you are registering or purchasing, then this will redirect you to the staff point of sale to finish the transaction.

 


All customers

Trial: add new participant


Access: all customers > trial participants > add new participant

 

After clicking this option, select the trial being registered for. You will then be redirected to the staff point of sale.

 

Program: add member


Access: all customers > program participants > add member > add new member

 

After clicking this option, select the program and membership option being registered for. You will then be redirected to the staff point of sale.

 

Events: add new participant


Access: all customers > event participants > add new participant

 

After clicking this option, select the event and event date / option being registered for. You will then be redirected to the staff point of sale.

 

Migration


Access: all customers > program participants > add member > migrate existing members

 

This is primarily used when migrating into MyStudio from a different system. There are two kinds of migration:

  • Individual: enter a single participant at a time with their program registration
  • CSV upload: upload a CSV containing many participants and their current program registrations

Leads


Access: all customers > leads > add / import new lead  -or-  all customers > event participants > check the box > add as a lead.

 

Leads can be added individually or as a group import from the all customers > leads section. You can also add event participants to your leads list from all customers > event participants. This is especially useful for guests or other customers who have only attended an event and you want to market your programs.

 


Website and integration

Website


Access: sales > business website > offerings

 

If you utilize the website provided by MyStudio, you can choose which kinds of things are available on the website. You can also set up the lead capture form to gain leads.

 

Custom API


Access: integrations > custom API

 

If you have your own website that is not connected to MyStudio, you can set up custom APIs to integrate a lead capture into your website.
